A pocket weather journal

A few observations, recorded often

A useful weather journal starts with the date, cloud cover and a description of the wind. Record what you can observe rather than trying to predict what comes next.

After a week, compare the notes with your photographs. Flat light, moving clouds and wet surfaces each change the mood of an ordinary scene.
